Progress in the Making

Remodeling, Maintenance and Development Continues

In efforts to help preserve our history and provide a community meeting place for worship, learning and sharing all of life’s important events (baptisms, confirmations, weddings and a final resting place), we have developed several different projects to enhance Freeborn Lutheran’s range of services to our community.

Two of the first cabins ever built in Snohomish County, both dating back to the 1860′s, have been moved to Church property. These cabins were built without nails – what an excellent example of true craftsmanship.

As we look forward to Spring and daffodil season, stay tuned for information on our Daffodil Festival and Open House. You’ll have an opportunity to tour the Church and Bonhoeffer Gardens, pickup or even pick some daffodils and a light lunch.

Other items in the works:

  • The Butterfly Gardens
  • The Children’s Conifer Maze
  • Native Herbarium
  • Learning Center Outdoor Lab Classes
  • WW II Holocaust Remembrance

It is a delight to watch the progress being made on a daily basis. Thank you to the following:

David Thomsen and most of his crew…Cliff Gomes, Cary Hayden, Jeremy Osgood, Richard Nisonger, Eddy Lindner, Kyle Baumgarner, plus a couple of inspectors.

Did you know we have 2 (two) Artesian wells? And a Wishing Well as part of the Children’s Park? The progress on the Kiosks is coming along nicely. See below.
