Freeborn’s Outreach

Freeborn Lutheran Church has established a Good Samaritan Fund. This will be used for emergency situations and administered by Pastor Don.

Periodically, donation envelopes will be included in our Sunday bulletin. If you want to make a donation and want a tax deduction, put the number of your regular offering envelope on the front of this envelope.

What else do we do? We make sure all of Freeborn’s events run as smoothly as possible. From making sure we have all the supplies we need for each Sunday or event, to “recruiting strong arms” for moving things from place to place, to setting up and taking down tables and chairs, to delegating and asking for your generous help with our various ministries and charities. Thank You Team Outreach!!

Our desire is to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. Our theme, which is “God’s Work – Our Hands” is carried out through the support of Matthew House in Monroe (which provides support for families of prison inmates), Cocoon House in Everett, (which is a safe haven for teens in crisis situations), the Caring Place in Stanwood and Friendship House in Mount Vernon ( which is Skagit County’s largest shelter for the homeless). Our ladies make quilts, which are sent out through Lutheran World Relief as well as to many local shelters and disasters.

Other projects for this year include a special Mother’s Day luncheon on Friday, May 8 at 1:00 p.m., collection of school supplies in July for The Caring Place in Stanwood, collection of food and cash in August for the Stanwood Food Bank, collection of socks for the Sock-toberfest celebration held by Trinity Lutheran College in Everett for the areas homeless…and of course, quilts and baby care kits to be shipped to Lutheran World Relief for eventual shipment to far away places with people in need.

Donate to any of our many projects throughout the year!
